Low profile?

So Rose McGowan and Robert Rodriguez were/are having an affair. Rodriguez has been married for 16 years to his sometimes producer Elizabeth Avellan. They have 5 kids together.
None of which matters to what I am about to tell you. Page Six has details and quotes and so on. Doesn’t matter. Nothing does except this next paragraph:
“In the meantime, Rodriguez and McGowan are keeping an ultra-low profile. “They arrived in the same limo for the L.A. premiere, but they got out separately several minutes apart to avoid being seen together,” a spy told Page Six.”
Ok. Now. Let’s say you want to keep a really low profile. You don’t want people to think you and another person are going out, doing things together, schtupping, whatever the case may be.
Do you then take a limo to an event together but get out “several minutes apart”? What did they think? The door opened, one of them got out. Then the car fucking well sat there for a few minutes. Then the other one got out. Was that supposed to be a fucking magic trick? Did they think everyone would be fooled by a non-moving car?
What the fuck? How can anyone be that dumb and think they are that smart? There are people who have won Darwin awards for being smarter than this.
