Artist wanted for sequential print work
APK | April 9, 2008 | 2:14 pmHear ye, hear ye! D.J. Kirkbride and I have written a story for Image Comics POPGUN anthology. The script has been accepted. It is a go. We are very excited.
EXCEPT!
We can not find an artist that our editor also approves of. Which means that the entire thing might come to a screeching halt due to “no artist.”
What we’re looking for: An artist who has done sequential work. One who is willing to share our payment (we’re not being paid). An artist that can send us samples that we can then send to our editor and say “See?! GEEEEENIUS!” and get everything wrapped up.
What you get out the deal: You could appear in a volume of Image Comics POPGUN. Your comic art – in print. Fame, fortune, wine, cheese and crackers could all be yours. I will personally supply at least the crackers. You will get crackers out of this. Crunchy ones.
What the story is about: While I can’t lay out the entire thing right here it is cartoony and joyus. Think more Dr. Who than Doc Savage. It’s a fun little frolic with a sense of humor. It also involves a lot of gears. And different types of trains. Also a robot.
What we ask of you: Send an email with questions, samples and anything else you think we should know about to adampknave @ gmail.com and use the subject line “ART SEARCH” if you would be so kind.
Please to note: Nothing is 100% going to print until the book is at the printers. So though we are pretty sure from what we have been told that this will be in a future voulme – edits, cuts and other changes may make this all vanish regardless. Just to be totally fair and honest here. Nothing is 100% promised by us or Image Comics.
PLEASE feel free to spread word of this search far and wide.
