The problem with having your mother read your blog

APK | July 11, 2008 | 10:19 am

So the other day I posted the ABCs of Your Mom, a 26 line long set of your mom jokes, type of thing. Because who doesn’t like a good “Your Mom” joke?

Your mom likes them, she likes everyone.

Anyway.

So I get home and see I have email. From my mother. Asking if the column was “meant for her.” And suddenly I found myself trying to explain “Your Mom” jokes to, well, my mom.

So there ya go.

If APK does not know by now that I am not exactly a “joke getter,” he needs serious help. He tagged me with the old SNL line “make Joan laugh” when a mere child–and I use the word “mere” deliberately. APK, you should have known that email was a likely response, but hey, it does show that I read what you write assiduously.

My Library

Currently I have added 12 shelves of books. I have 40. I'll update this every time I add a shelf. It contains books I've purchased, been given for review over the years and that have been gifted to me. Also, except for random things that were scanned without thinking, this collection leaves out all of my graphic novels - for now.
