   Pluto most certainly still is a planet. The controversial demotion was done by only four percent of the International Astronomical Union, most of whom are not planetary scientists, and was immediately opposed by hundreds of professional astronomers in a petition led by Dr. Alan Stern, Principal Investigator of NASA’s New Horizons mission to Pluto.

   I’m one of the people working to overturn the demotion, and I am a proud owner of about seven different T shirts and sweatshirts proudly proclaiming Pluto’s planethood.
