Note to myself, and the world.
APK | May 21, 2009 | 9:31 amLife is fucked up and you can’t take it any more and everything is too hard?
Stop whining and start fixing.
Work just isn’t what you want it be and it’s rough and the times are bad and…
Stop whining and start fixing.
This relationship isn’t what you want, or you want a relationship or you don’t or …
Stop whining and start fixing.
I’m not saying that everything is roses if you just squint. But seriously, take the hit and then fix things. Stand back up, don’t dwell more than to learn from the event, and fix things. Everything is fixable, even if “fix” = “change the rules” once or twice.
If you don’t like your situation then change it. If you don’t like your life then fix it. Wallowing in it gets you nowhere.
And I will say, because I know I have done this before myself, too, that proclaiming you will fix it and then cycling through the entire mess again is a drug and stay the fuck away from it. It goes like this:
Problem -> wallow -> resolve to fix -> declaration of change -> no movement -> problem -> wallow -> resolve to fix -> declaration of change -> no movement -> WAUGH! Enough!
Stand up straight, today. Look yourself in the eye (bendy!) and dig deep. Then fix / change / resolve / make shit better. For yourself. No one else will do it for you.
