Ten A Day

On the cusp of spring I think we need to spread some love around. Not like that, you perverts. But rather, let’s all take some time and remind the awesome people in our lives why we think they’re awesome.

Karen and I often end up telling each other why we we’re friends. It’s fun. It doesn’t cost us anything, and it improves our day. So we thought – well hells bells, let’s try to get everyone else on board with this!

So what we are asking is simple. Tell ten people a day, every day this week, why you think they’re cool people. What you like about them, why they rock, what draws you to them. Email them, leave a comment on a blog, give them a phone call, whatever method you feel like using. I even suggest telling it to some people you admire, but don’t talk to. Take the time out to tell them why you like their work, or whatever it is they do and reasons you have. I promise they’ll appreciate it.

Let’s spread a bit of joy around, for no other reason than WE CAN.

Also, here, lookit, have a badge you can use for this, as well. ‘Cause why not?

I saw this over at Karen’s and thought it was a wonderful idea. Hope you have a fantastic week.

  2. You’re awesome for doing this with me – I think people really love the idea. I’m going to visit all the people that comment here and on my post too. New friends, FTW! :)

I too am jumping on this. I enjoy reading you on Twitter, and I just added your Blog to my feedreader.

    You Rock. ;-)

Hey – you rock! :) I like this idea. You get to be the first, then – you write very well, and, while I don’t comment much, I very much enjoy reading what you write.

I already did this twice today!
Now that I know it’s a ‘movement’, I will continue the momentum!

    xo
I love you, if for nothing else because you don’t truck nonsense, either going OR coming. You are my friend.
    (THREE!)

I saw this over on Karen’s blog (through Twitter, of course) and think it’s a fab idea. I’m going to blog about it next week as this week and just way too damn busy.
    Cheers!

My week *is* just way too busy… so busy, in fact, that I can’t even write a proper sentence >:(

I’m not sure I know 10 people who blog regularly, but I’ll give it a shot! (You’re going to have to be one of my 10. Every day. Post newness!)

You and me have been friends for quite a while, man, and you have yet to cease being an awesome person, and an awesome friend. So, thanks for the many years, and keep on rocking on!

Nicki – They don’t have to be bloggers and it doesn’t have to be comments. Just find people who you enjoy or admire and go for it.

    El – Thanks!

I love this idea! As I said at Karen’s place, feed readers were the down fall of comments! Nice to meet you Adam. I’ll be trolling around here later.

Followed you here from Headless Mom. Great challenge. I’m in. Commenting by iPhone and its stuid auto-correct, so there should be a special prize for that.

  18. Erica M says:

Ha. The iPhone tried to correct my mistyping of stupid as Druid then decided I meant stuid. Stuid phone.

    Adam,

Thanks for this! I’m so glad that I read Karen’s post today and got directed over here, because I have just added a year to my life with the healing power of laughing. You do, indeed, rock, and I’ll mention that to my little corner of the world in tomorrow’s post.

    :)
