So a while back Farscape celebrated the 10th anniversary of the airing of the first episode. Part of their celebration was to play trivia on twitter (@hensoncompany is a great thing to follow btw) and so I decided to play.

I knew all the answers, duh. But speed was an issue and I kept losing. Ariana started to play, too, for the fun of it. And I was having a bad day. The prizes were things like a soundtrack CD or a hat, good fun stuff just nothing I would be jonsing for. I was playing just to play and be a geek, really.

So bad day, and I decdied fuck it I’m off. Ariana talked me into playing one more time. So I waited and decided to and up came a question. I don’t even remember what it was. But I answered it and THEN I saw the prize that was supposed to be for that question had changed. It was no longer a print of the original D’Argo design, singed by Simcoe, it was now something far cooler to my mind.

And I won. A special Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars fleece. Like never for sale, they had exactly one there and shit. Totally awesome. Except I wasn’t sure it would fit, you know? They had exactly one after all. So I made plans that if it didn’t fit me I would give it to Vin, since he introduced me to Farscape in the first place.

I got it in today, along with a special handwritten card thanking me for supporting Henson and Farscape:

And it fits. Inside it had a Zhaan button that goes to Vin since he loves her so much. I am just bouncy.

A lot of people use scales to place their feelings or whatever on a firm place so that they can relate them to other such objects. Many people use a scale of 1 to 10. I hereby propose a new scale: A Scale of One to Jem. Provided below is the scale:

Jem – Everything is outrageous. Truly, truly outrageous.

Kimber – Things are so outrageous! Just not truly outrageous.

Aja – Awww yeah. Riffin’ a kick-ass solo and rocking the spandex. Life’s sweet.

Shana – Day’s a bit brighter, yo. Hell, things are good.

Raya – Hey, it isn’t all sunshine but you can probably see how it might be, someday.

Stormer – It’s all good. Shut up. Whatever, man.

Roxy – Yeah, stuff is mostly all right, but you know, world kinda sucks.

Pizzaz – The only reason things aren’t worse is probably because some rich relative is paying to fix the damage, but take that away and RUT ROH, REORGE!

Jetta – Well at least things haven’t gone to “Eric” but man they ain’t far off.

Eric – Dude, everything sucks and is awful.

Let me tell you why my friends rock. Take KFoo, for example. She’s the Littlest Ninja and gonna be a kickass Lawyer Ninja eventually, but man she is also an awesome friend. Every day she pops online and we talk about what our respective days hold. We check in on the other, making sure we’re doing ok or seeing if we can help the other with whatever is going on. She reminds me that I’m awesome.

And I mean daily. Sometimes we get to do a mid-day check as well. Not overbearing, no pressure, just a good friend checking in to make sure you’re running at speed. And it is wonderful just having someone out there you know will take some time out of their day to check in with friends and see how they’re doing.

That’s fantastic. She’s fantastic.

I know some amazing people.

A while back to tired out an Awesome Index. It just … I couldn’t rate enough things and … eh I left it behind. But sometimes things are still awesome and I wanted a way to label them as awesome. So I needed a way to denote things that were the extra special inch of awesome. You know, the ones that pushed over into the realm of REALLY DAMNED AWESOME and give them a person seal of awesome approval from me. So here it is, and no it doesn’t have everything and yes I am sure that I could’ve added twenty other things and made it even better and cooler, but you know what? Go make your own symbol for awesome and put that shit in it. This is mine and this is how it is.

Robyn pointed out that there are possibly ninjas in the trees and that Shatner and Feldman are in the General Lee. This may be.
