An Ill Communication.

For the few that haven’t heard yet: The BEastie Boys ahve delayed their tour an unknown amount of time, as well as the release of their new albulm (Hot Sauce Committee Part 1) because Adam (MCA) Yauch has cancer.

It is very localized, easily removable and not at all spread in the least. He says he will have some minor surgery, some treatment after that and be fine. In fact, He sat with Adam (Ad-Rock) Horowitz and made a video about it.

Dance You Into The Sunlight

This is the best, most thoughtful, and perfectly aimed take on the whole Michael Jackson thing I’ve seen yet. Just wonderful and, I think, important outside of directly Jackson, but toward what it does speak of. Anyway, here:

So. Emmanuel Lewis. Star of stage and screen. Making the most of your life with dignity and a sense of cool. Whether you’ve plied your acting skills in such diverse shows as … Webster or … that one episode of Moesha you did, or that time you were on The New Adventures of Mother Goose or … wait no that was about it. Uhm, or those fine moments when you were just yourself for a whole lot of VH-1 specials, Emmanuel, you’ve been … well, something that isn’t Gary Coleman. Emmanuel we salute you!

Hey-ooo!

APK | June 23, 2009 | 9:24 am

If you’ve been waiting for Publisher’s Clearing House to get you a check, you might have to wait a bit longer.

Think about it. The man presided over Star Search when it meant something (no, it never meant anything, we were just young enough to think it might) and set the gold stadard for TV talk show sidekicks. I mean, sure it’s a small pool, but he set the bar. He also used to help run that old TV Bloopers show, which, really, became a DVD extra feature and America’s Funniest Home Videos.

You know, looking back I’m not sure if we’re here to praise his career or what. Yikes.

And how many different catch phrases will we remember you by? All of them? Well, if you said that … you are correct, sir.
