I swear, FURIES not FURRIES.

Dark Furies: Weird Tales of Beauties and Beasts – Published by Die Monster Die! Books, this anthology contains two shorts of mine. First up is the introduction, Strange Angel, which has since become the basis of a 3 book novella series. Secondly it contains After These Messages…, a fun and twisted tale of children’s television, demons and production assistants named Travis. The full listing for the book is as follows:

Die Monster Die’s newest anthology, Dark Furies, serves up fifteen tales of heroines, monsters, and mayhem that explore the enduringly popular theme of beauty and the beast as envisioned by fourteen of today’s top writers. Among this eclectic mix of stories are horror yarns, classic pulp adventures, mysteries, suspense thrillers, and tales of madness, suspense, and fantasy, sure to appeal to all readers of horror or dark fantasy. Contents:

  • “Danse” by Jan Rukh
  • “After These Messages” by Adam P. Knave
  • “The Green-Blooded Demons of Clancyille” by Laszlo Q.V. St-J. Xalieri
  • “Anastasia” by Ed Hickcox
  • “Redemption” by Rose Fox
  • “Sick Day” by Patrick Thomas
  • “Mercy” by C.J. Henderson
  • “Gray Gulls Gyre” by James Chambers
  • “Fury in Vermont” by Ron Fortier
  • “21 Doors” by John L. French
  • “Trapped in Remission” by Michael Amorel
  • “The Tiger” by William Jones
  • “The Kindly One” by Danielle McPhail

Horror Reader reviewed Dark Furies saying (among other nice things: “There are several truly fine, fun and spooky stories by writers such as James Chambers, Adam Knave, Jan Ruhk, Rose Fox, Danielle Ackley-McPhail, and Patrick Thomas.”

Horror-Web also reviewed it, saying (about my stories, my site, I focus on the obvious guys…):

Introduction: Strange Angel – Adam P. Knave
I give this story a 5. The editing was clean, the story original, and the pace swift. Knave smacks you upside the head, drags you through the mud, and then kisses you on the forehead with this tale of a young girl awakening her darker side.

After These Messages – Adam P. Knave
I give this story a 4. Inventive and original, the story is fun, but predictable. The characters are hilarious and the style of writing is tongue-in cheek. Thank Thumper!

    My Library

Currently I have added 12 shelves of books. I have 40. I'll update this every time I add a shelf. It contains books I've purchased, been given for review over the years and that have been gifted to me. Also, except for random things that were scanned without thinking, this collection leaves out all of my graphic novels - for now.
